TFS - Project 2010 Error TF82039

Question

I have been working with TFS and Project and Project Server integrated for a couple months without issue. However, recently, when Refreshing from the Team menu in MS Project 2010, I received the following error, "TF82039: Team Foundation was unable to modify the project plan. Please fix the problem and try again."

I turned on error logging using, "winproj.exe.config".  Below is a subset of what was captured. However, I don't know how to make sense of this.

I'd like to resolve the error, but I don't know what's causing it. Assistance in interpreting this file to find the cause would be greatly appreciated.

Found the cause...

When a TFS task is created, all the required fields are populated, including "Assigned To".

However, when the assigned resource hadn't previously been added to the project schedule, I'd get the error when refreshing from the Team tab.

To resolve this, I manually added the resource from the Enterprise resources, assigned the user to the task and refreshed. This resolved the issue.

If anyone knows of a way to prevent this from happening in the future, I'd love to hear it.

After receiving no resolution last time I received this error, I had to restore the DB in order to resolve it. I have now received this error again on another project. This time, I'd really like to find the cause. Any help would really be appreciated!
