#Getting Data message never resolves.   I'm accessing the original data through text files and imported into PowerPivot.  PowerPivot is functioning and this message didn't show up on any other pages I created (brand new work books).  I replicated this and the information is populated correctly The cube formula e.g.

"=CUBEVALUE(ThisWorkbookDataModel",$K$1,$K$2,$K$3,$K$4,$J7,K$6)"

    make sure you turn the Auto Calculation on.  in the menu Tools -> Options -> Calculations, change the Calculation from Manual to automatic.  Apparently this can change from page to page. This was suggested from that site you suggested. It worked!  Just an FYI if you're interested.
