Bimini font

I'm using Office  home and student 2010 and it includes a font called Bimini ( BIMINB__.TTF ).  I would like to know if this font is included in the home and business version or the professional version.  I have checked the MS websites list of fonts and it doesn't seem to be included, but then again several of the other fonts that appear to have come with the software don't appear on the list either.

Thank you

Andrew

    Hi Suzanne,

You seem a bit like me, lots of different fonts, but no idea where they came from. Still, better I'd better look for a nice one that's does actually come with office just in case someone at work queries it.  From the copyright perspective it would look bad if we used something we don't have permission for.  We have the same problems with pictures, there's some great ones on the internet, but we dare not use them .

    Regards

    Andrew

It seems to be a free download from a number of sites (though not the ones I usually use). I also have it on my HD but not in my Downloads folder, so I've obviously had it since before this system. It's "Copyright 1994 Bay Animation Inc."

There was an era when pretty much any software you installed came with a slew of fonts, and most printer driver discs also install a bunch of fonts, so there are plenty of non-Microsoft source possibilities. It is not one available from the Corel Graphics set, but I could have gotten it from some other software.

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply.  You must be right, I must have downloaded it from somewhere although I don't remember doing it.  I  would just embed it in the word document I've created at home, but it's for my employer and they get a little funny at times about using fonts that don't come as standard with the office software.

Once again thanks for the reply

    Regards

    Andrew

    The resource I have:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2121313  -  Fonts that are installed with Microsoft Office 2010 Products

agrees with Stefan. Bimini font is not included with any version of Office 2010.  You must have gotten it from some other source.

The Bimini font doesn't appear to be listed on the Microsoft typography site (http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fonts/default.aspx). Are you sure that you got the font with a Microsoft product?
