run-time error 80004005

The suggested solution to this recurring problem does NOT work.

I have unprotected the workbook and the chart and it still fails to allow the method 'Textframe2' of object 'ChartFormat' to work.

I have protected the workbook and then unprotected it in VBA and it stil does not work.

This is beginning to make the product unusable for developers of solutions to customer's problems.

Is there any hope of a fix?

or do I have to go to another product altogether?

AlanCam,

You've started a new thread and it looks like you should have responded to a previous discussion you either started or were participating in??  Need to comment in that discussion, not a new one or at least provide a link reference to that discussion here because we don't really have a clue as to what the whole problem is about.

Sorry I did not realise I had not replied to the same question. However the suggested solution I refer to is http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310049/en-us.
