Editing problems with Source Manager

For some reason I cannot edit all of the references listed in my source manager.  They were all imported into Word from the same .xml file.  They insert fine into my document and the works cited section compiles nicely.  However, there are some references that I would like to modify and Word won't let me.  I make the change in the Edit Source window and when I try pressing OK, nothing happens.  I can only get out of the Edit window by pressing Cancel.  Other references, in the same document, I can edit with no problems.

Neither of these suggestions has changed anything.  I can edit the source file but this still doesn't explain why some imported references/citations can be modified in Word while others cannot.  In addition, if I need to remove and recreate the reference then I need to delete every instance of that reference before I can remove its listing in the source manager, which seems like a lot of extra work.

    Hi,

If editing “Sources.XML” from the following location C:\Users<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Bibliography does not help, then imported XML file itself might be corrupted.

    Hi Paras,

As I understand you are facing issue editing the references.

You may try editing the source file and then import or try removing and recreating the references.

Let us know if this has helped you.
