Trying to work this one out - thinking that the answer must be obvious but no matter what I try I can't seem to resolve it....
I have this excel spreadsheet (.xlsx if that makes a difference) that I'm opening up in Project by mapping the task data.
I map the scheduled start and finish dates to the start and finish fields in project respectively. But project seems intent on displaying the date fields as text using the general format in excel.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Matt

Hi Julie,
Thanks for the response - I decided to go with the macro option and eventually managed to get it doing what I wanted it to do...
Cheers
Matt
It certainly didn't take me long to find the other thread :-)
Julie,
This question almost seems like deja vu all over again :-)

Hi Matt,
See:
for a discussion of Project and manually scheduled tasks. Although the thread is about Project 2013, you may be having some similar issues with Project 2010.
