I had this error too and after spending over two hours with 2 different techs they tried to fleece me for a hundred bucks for 1 month of help or 400 dollars for 1 year of help.  Can you believe this? I am hoping these instructions help....

I am trying to install Office 365 but keep getting the 0-1 error message. It says there is still a programme installation taking place. Have tried to change/repair the programme but the only Office programme showing is a free trail version that was deactivated at the end of February and has no files associated with it anyway....

    Hi Melinda,

Thank you for choosing Microsoft Community.

I would suggest you to run an ‘Online Repair’ of Office as mentioned in the link below:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2827031/en-us

If repair does not help then follow the steps provided under the section ‘Is your problem solved?’ in the above link.

If the above steps fail, follow the general troubleshooting steps from the link below:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2822317

I hope the above steps help. Let us know if you need further assistance.

    Thank you.
