OneNote for Android has been updated to a new version and it is available in the Google Play store right now.  For more details about this release please see here:

For overall help please go here: OneNote for Android Help

System Requirements

The updated version of OneNote requires Android 4.0 or higher.  For the full system requirements please see here: OneNote for Android system requirements.

The update doesn't work on my tablet

We have heard reports of the update on Android not working on certain Android devices, primarily tablets such as the Galaxy Tab 10.1.  The team is aware of the issue and the update has been blocked on those devices.  The team is working on a solution and trying to get an update out soon.

We released an update on 7/22 which addresses this.  Looks like it was due to a NVIDIA Tegra 2 chipset issue and the newest update in the store fixes this.  Build 15.0.1917.2300 has the fix.  More details here: OneNote for Android updated, fixes loading issues for most devices.

Keyboard issues

We have heard reports that both devices with keyboards & external Bluetooth keyboards are not working with the updated version.

The team released an update on 2013-08-26 to resolve this issue for most locales, you can read more about it here: OneNote for Android update for external keyboards.  If you have other feature requests or details please put them in the comments below.  We are listening to everything you all are saying here so please keep it coming.

Where is <my favorite feature>? When will it be added?

Since we use the app, too, we want it to be as awesome as possible. We listen to all feedback and consider it for future releases. Your feedback helps us know which features are most important to you. However, for a variety of reasons we cannot discuss planned features, their priorities, or the dates that we expect these features to be released.  Please keep submitting your requests in the app store reviews as well as in the comments below, we are reading them!

My question is not answered below, now what?

We want your feedback! Go to the  Microsoft Answers forum  and post your questions there. It is frequented by many users who might be able to help and is often visited by the OneNote product development team and the Microsoft Support team.

We will be updating this as we continue to hear from customers about the issues or questions that you all are facing.

Any good news for tablets? After update the new version doesn't work on a tablet with Android V4. Maybe the old version can be installed again? Where can be downloaded the old version?

    Daniel

First, its great to have an update. Onenote 2013 is my favourite application so to be able to carry and sync my notes to all of my phones and tablets through Skydrive is brilliant.

I have a Windows Phone and an Android Phone. Overall I've been very pleased by the feature set of Onenote on Windows Phone 8, but previously less so by the old Onenote Android app.

With this latest Android upgrade what are the feature differences between the Android and the Windows Phone Onenote app ?  At first glance, they seem identical , which if true is awesome

Pen input, is the main outstanding feature I'd like to see please.
