error 3270 "... cannot find"

I find Access 2010 full of aggravating surprises!

My latest one is that MyDatabase.accde made from a perfectly working MyDatabase.accdb gives me an error 3270 that reads

“The expression you entered has a function name that C:\MyFolderName\MyDemo.mde cannot find”

MyDemo.mde is there and the .accdb had NO problems finding it!

Your error message says .MDE.  This suggest Access 2003 or earlier as an .ACCDE is Access 2007 and up.  So, was the database upgraded?

    Gina,

What is it that I should check? The .accdb works perfectly fine.

    And "upgrading " what ?

Well, looks like something is *hard coded* if it's looking for the .MDE?  Also, have you compiled your code since upgrading it?  You might also want to check you References since upgrading...
