Excel Option Button (form) changing cell link

I am wanting to have five separate option groups on a spreadsheet. Each option group has only two 'choices'. I created the first group of two option buttons and linked them to cell F2 and it the buttons worked fine. When I click one, the other clears and the first registers a 1 in the cell link, the second registers a 2.

The problem comes when I try to set up the second option group. I do the exact same thing as I did with the first group, except I set both option buttons linked to cell F12. When I try to click on one, both option buttons in the first group clear and the cell link on the first two option buttons in the first group show F12.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you in advance.

To group option buttons, place a group box control around them. The group box should fully enclose the option buttons.

All option buttons within the same group box share the same linked cell.

Option buttons in different group boxes can have different linked cells.

All option buttons that are not enclosed in a group box form a group by themselves - they all share the same linked cell.

    HansV,

Thank you. I honestly don't remember seeing that the Option Group Box enclosing the Option Buttons was a requirement anywhere in Help.  One thing I might add is that I was trying to format the Option Group Box very tightly around the Option Buttons and must have either been overlapping the Option Group Box or the other Option Button because I kept getting the result that I click on one button and both buttons would show as selected instead of operating independently of each other. Once I started with a large Group Option Box with plenty of extra space to hold two Option Buttons and got the buttons working independently with the Linked Cell, then I was able to resize them down to the point where I wanted them. Thanks again!
