I have Office 365 on my laptop as a second user.

This was authorised and checking the original users account confirmed I that the copy was authorised on my laptop.

A few weeks ago a message appeared saying I am using an unauthorised copy and 6 days to register.

After a long telephone call to MS presumably at a premium rate (to the Philippines) the adviser took control of my PC and sorted the issue.

Great, but, this morning the same message appeared! 'unauthorised copy - 6 days to register'

It will not let me follow the registration path from this message and just indicates an error.

Anyone got the same issue?

Help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Thanks Deepa,

The net start schedule was running

So I uninstalled as suggested.

Installed again (under original account) and the 'unauthorised' message has gone.

If it comes back again in a few weeks time, I will do again but installing under a new account.

Thank you very much for your help,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Thank you for replying.

Try starting the Task scheduler service:

Click Start > All Programs > Accessories, and then right-click Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator.

At the command prompt, type the following command and press Enter: net start schedule.

If the service is running and if the issue persists,  then you may run the fix it from the article below to remove the traces of Office completely from the computer:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501

Note: Try to save the fix it tool to the desktop and then run it to remove Office.

Once the traces are removed, create a new user account for Windows and reinstall the program.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/create-a-user-account

Once installed on the new user account, right click on any Office application and click on run as administrator. Activate the program and let us know the result.

Thank you.

    Thanks Deepa,

Software is: Office 365 Home Premium – en – uk

    Running on Windows 7 Professional

I have checked and there are no other versions of Office on this PC

Tried online repair – no change – still saying unlicensed product.

Also tried re-installing from the MS account that the software was registered with - no change – still saying unlicensed product.

The other link you sent, seemed to be saying that it is necessary to sort this through the MS help line.

This is how the issue was resolved last time, but surely I shouldn’t need to do this every month!

    Mike

    Hi Mike,

As per the description you are facing issues with Office 365 subscription. Let me assist you with the issue.

I need information to assist you better:

Which edition of Office did you purchase and install?

Verify if you have multiple versions of Office installed on the computer by going to control panel, programs and features list.

If you find any other versions of Office, then you may highlight it and click uninstall.

Try to repair the Office 365 program and check the result:
