Hi

When running the Compare Projects in MS Project 2010.

The report is always blank in the "Diff" field.

So if I change duration on  a task it give me a column for old and current duration but the "Duration Diff" column stays blank.

The fields and formulas are built in to the add-in and to the best of my knowledge, it is not editable.  Does the compare projects command work in a two new files?

Did you have a previous version of Project installed?

Not in use and no error messages. Can I modify which fields to use for a test?

The Duration Dff field is actually Text6 - do you have Text6 in use somewhere else in the files?  The Start Diff and Finish Diff fields are also blank in your screen shot above.  They are Text9 and Text 12 - again, are these fields used for something else in the template?  Any error messages when you run the consolidation?

I can't reproduce this error with Project 2010 and SP-2 installed.  It works as expected for both manually scheduled and autoscheduled tasks.

Just to make sure I'm not missing a step you may be working with:

You open the more recent version of the file and compare to an older version, correct?

Are you using the default Entry table for compare?

Have you saved the change to the duration (save the file) before running the compare?

Do you have SP-2 installed to Project 2010?
