Hello

I have a database project going on at the moment.

I am having difficulties in relation to the 'validation' aspects of Microsoft Access 2013.

I have several 'Data Entry Screens' based on the Access 'Form' of which data is entered by the user into the system; through the use of an 'Filter Query'. The query then filters through the records in relation to the relevant table and returns the records of which meet the given criterion.

Thus, a user inputs data into a form and a query will return matches.

As part of the project, the 'Validation Requirements' state that all the data entry screens (forms) must have -

Validation should be incorporated throughout all three individual ‘Data entry screens’ in order to ensure that the all data collected is allowable, sensible and reasonable. Thus, I will apply a ‘length check’ and ‘format check’ where applicable.

Validation, (presence checks), should be incorporated throughout the ‘Data entry Screens’, where applicable, in order to ensure that all data needed is collected and thus present. In order to achieve this, I will apply a ‘presence check’ where applicable.

In addition to this, it is required that 'Customised Feedback' is given as a result in the event of a 'Validation Error'.

Validation, (presence checks), should be incorporated throughout the ‘Data entry Screens’, where applicable, in order to ensure that all data needed is collected and thus present. In order to achieve this, I will apply a ‘presence check’ where applicable.

I have tried for several weeks to achieve these requirements now!

Are these requirements achievable through the use of Access 2013?

Many Thanks

Dino
