Hi!

I'm using Office 365 Home Edition and I can't use Microsoft Word.

Each time I click a Word document or if I try to start Word, I get an error message saying that it's not a valid win32 application.

I have uninstall and reinstall Office, but it change nothing.

Others applications work fine. This problem only happen with Word.

My OS is Windows 7.

Thanks!

    Hello Girish,

I have removed Office using the "Fix-It" tool, reboot the computer and reinstall Office.

    Unfortunately, Word still don't work.

Maybe I will contact Microsoft support..

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    Thank you for replying.

Since repairing of Office 365 installation does not help, you may remove and re-install Office on the computer and verify the results.

To uninstall Office, you may run the Fix it from the following article to remove all traces of the Office 365 on the system.

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501

Note: Ensure to save the Fix it file on the desktop and then run the file.

Once the Fix it completes then you may re-install Office 365 and then check how it works.

    Thank you

    Hello,

Let us check if Word is running in Compatible Mode. To do so do the following:

    1. Browse to the location C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\ClientX86\Root\Office15 or C:\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft Office 15\ ClientX64\Root\Office15.
    2. Right click on Winword.exe and then click in Properties.
    3. In the Properties window click on Compatibility tab.
    4. Uncheck ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and then click on Apply and OK.

Once the above steps are done, open Word 2013 and verify the results.

You may also repair the Office 365 installation and check if it helps in resolving the issue. Refer to the following link for more information on how to repair Office 2013/365.

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-in/project-help/repair-or-remove-office-HA010357402.aspx

Follow the steps and let us know if that helps. If the issue persists, reply and we will be happy to help you.

    Thank you
