    Hi Alexander,

When do you receive this error message?

Do you find this error message while opening any Office application or any specific file?

You may repair Office 2013 using the following link and check if it works fine as expected:

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/repair-or-remove-office-2010-HA010357402.aspx

I hope the information helps. Let us know if you need further assistance.

    Thank you.

Thanks Raju for the fast response, I haven't tried to fix it yet. But will do later in the day, I use office 365. Hope the repair link works with this,

The error happens when I try to open office word from a skydrive document. The document has  .doc or .docx extension.

    greetings from Frankfurt Germany

    have a nice day

This worked for me. I found "skype for business" to be the culprit.

    1. Uninstall all office applications (even Skype/Skype for Business)
    2. Verify what bit OS you are working on
    3. Install the bit version of office.
    4. Launch Office 16 or 365 - You should be good to go.
