Hi,

I have a Windows 7 (64 bit) laptop and I recently purchased "Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013" and "Microsoft Visio Professional 2013".

I have successfully installed MS Office Pro Plus 2013 but I am facing issue while installing MS Visio Pro 2013. I have purchased the DVD's as well. When I run the Visio setup from DVD it gives the error as shown in the attached screenshot.

I have also tried to run the setup64 from the DVD but again it throws an error saying "Something went wrong. Sorry, we ran into a problem".

Please let me know how can I install Visio 2013 on my machine.

Thanks.

Prateek

Hi,

Microsoft Office programs should be installed in the same version, for example, we installed Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 X64-bit fisrt, and then we should install Microsoft Visio Professional 2013 X64-bit.

Acorrding to the error messgae, I confirmed you had Microsoft Office programs X 32-bit in your labtop.

Please check the Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 and Microsoft Visio Professional 2013 version in the DVD.

If your Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 is 32-bit, we can download the Visio 2013 32-bit from the following link:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/hh973399.aspx

At last, we should confirm that you had not install the old  Microsoft Office programs X32 bit version before, such as Microsoft Office 2010 32-bit.

Regard,

George Zhao

Hi, I know this response was from 2013, but I'm trying to do the same thing today in 2017 and the link in the response takes me to Office 365 download to try out for 30 days.  I really don't want to do that.  I just want to be able to install my Visio 2013.

    Hi George,

Thanks for the above link. Using this I able to install Visio.

I have 64 bit office on my machine and using the link provided by you I able to download the 64 bit Visio and able to install the same successfully. I think the media which I got is corrupted that's why I was getting the error while installing the Visio.

    Thanks again.
