    Hi Robin,

What type of internet connection do you use (Wired or Wireless)?

You may start the computer in clean boot mode and then try to download and install Office 2013 on the computer which would disable all the non-Microsoft applications and the antivirus which could be one of the reason for the download error.

Refer the article below to start the computer in clean boot:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: Ensure to restart the computer in normal mode after completing the troubleshooting steps.

I hope the above information helps. Let us know if you need further assistance.

    Thank you.

It sounds as though either the download was incomplete or the disc creation faulty. Are you able to copy the disc content to the hard drive and install from there?

Do you still have the downloaded ISO disc image? It may be in the Temp folder if the installer has finished with it. Open it with (say) WinRar or PowerISO and copy the files to the hard drive. Install from the hard drive.

The 'missing' file should be in the osmux.en-us folder that is highlighted in Windows Explorer in the background. Have you checked that the file is present and if it is, have you tried to select that folder from the browse for folder dialog? If it is not present, then what is the pedigree of the disc?
