Switching from Draft View to Print Layout changes paragraph order

Hi,

I am using Word 2011 (14.3.9) for Mac, on a mac running OS X 10.9.1, and am running into a weird problem. In my document, I have a series paragraphs and tables formatted as:

  1. Heading 1
  2. Heading 2
  3. Table
  4. Heading 2
  5. Table
  6. Heading 1
  7. Heading 2
  8. Table
  9. Heading 2
  10. Table

In Draft View, everything is in order - 1-10. But when I change to Print Layout View, #6 appears before #5. See the screenshots - where 1-5 are hi lighted red, and 6-10 are highlighted green. The tables were copied from a separate Word document, that was probably created in MS Word 2007 or 2010 (for Windows).

How can I solve this problem?

Thanks,

Tom

Click on or select your moving table, then access Tables > Table Propertiesin the main menu bar, highlight the Table tab at the top and change the "Around" property to "None." The table will become fixed as expected.

Thank you! I don't think it would ever have occurred to me to check that setting.
