Error message: 'Microsoft .......... has stopped working. Windows is looking for a solution to the problem'

Update on my already existing problem

Current version operating on 15.0.4631.1004

I actually once got into my file tab without it crashing and tried to revert my version back to 15.0.4631.1002 as suggested and it didn't do a thing.

Every time i open up an Office application and try to click on the File tab I get the following

Error message: 'Microsoft .......... has stopped working. Windows is looking for a solution to the problem'.. then it takes me to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2987489/en-gb?ibuckettable=1

This details the fix to the File Tab crash is to go to Office updates through the 'File Tab' is this an intentional wind up or are you actually being serious with this fix???

I tried then to go to the program area and uninstall Office 365/2013 and get the error 'click to run stopped working' after googling this i was told that i had an MSI installation and to update then untinstall KB2880987. however this doesn't exist!

After not being able to solve anything from the above Microsoft provided help I have been back through all of the queries and fixes over this 26 page thread and nothing has worked!

Any answers from Microsoft that aren't a copy and paste of the last fixes? that don't work for about 80% of us here?

Hi All,

Not sure if the below will work for you, or if this is indeed what you're looking for.

But either of the below has worked for me (unfortunately i can't tell which as i did them both at the same time)

I couldn't uninstall Office 365/2013 from any of the fix it methods and also using the uninstall from the control pannel, when i did i was constantly getting the click to run errors.

So i repaired a previous version of Office on my PC

and

Ran the fix it detialed in the below link

http://support.microsoft.com/mats/program_install_and_uninstall/en

I'm seriously hoping that i have finally got rid of Office 2013 now after 2 weeks of trying to get support from MS. Maybe i'll wait a few weeks until I decide to try and reinstall Office 2013 (if at all!)

Good luck!!

    Ok i'm keeping this short,

    your previous response ..

Run the Fix it from the following article to remove all traces of the Office on the system.

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501

    i still get the errror...

'click to run suit installed ... not fixed'

This has not been working properly since the update and i cannot do any work in office. I have listened to and tried every single fix listed. and still ending up with the click to run not working.. any further words of wisdom?

Hello. I have a similar problem. Every time I try to open any of the office programs, they immediately say windows has found a problem and is going to close it, then that windows will try to find a solution online. I have already uninstalled the whole office and reinstalled it from scratch. It still doesnt work. I'm getting really pissed off, because not being able to use the office has been harming my work and studies.

I have tried this fix twice. It doesn't work. The box says that everything has been installed but there is also a box saying Error Code: 30045-11. When I check to see if the programmes have been installed they haven't.

Not very happy that I can't use programmes I am paying for, my business is severely impacted by this.

    Hi,

I can understand how that must make you feel when the Office 365/2013 program is not working the way it should. However let us work together to resolve the issue with accessing and working on Office applications.

Run the Fix it from the following article to remove all traces of the Office on the system.

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501

Note: Ensure to save the Fix it file on the desktop and then run it.

Once the Fix it completes, you may install Office 365/2013 and verify the results.

If issue persists, reply and we will be happy to help you.

    Thank you.
