Trying to download Office 365. Keep getting message that continuing could be expensive as our network connection limits the amount of download.  This is not true as we are on unlimited broadband.  When accept to continue I get error message saying soemthing went wrong.  V. frustrating.  Downloaded onto another computer on same broadband connection with no problem.

What do I need to do

After a long time with support on the phone, this issue was solved by plugging the PC into the ethernet port on the router. I have a Trendnet router. Hope this solves the problem for you too Jam Maker and Cat58. Cheers, Jeremy

I have the same problem, "stopping installation, continuing would be too expensive" which is not possible because I am on a broadband unlimited connection via a home Wi-Fi router

    I  tried both http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2827031

    andhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501

but it did not solve the problem

    Hello,

I understand your concern and will assist you with this issue.

The message 'continuing could be expensive as our network connection limits the amount of download‘could be from your service provider. However, download/installation error is an Office setup/download error.

    A quick question before proceeding:

What is the complete error you receive while trying to download/install Office? is it***‘Something went wrong. We ran into a problem, please try installing Office again**.’?*Follow the instructions mentioned in the following article and see if it helps:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2827031

If issue still persists, run 'Fix it' from the following article to remove any existing remnants of Office 2013/365 and then try re-installing it and verify the result:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501

Note: Save the ‘Fix it’ before running it if you’re working on 64 bit Windows.

Hope above information helps. Reply with necessary information and the result for further assistance.

    Thank You.
