You could also try the XPS option (which is the MS version of PDF) described Dheerajbahl, just to see if it works.

I have a 4-page Visio file. When I Save to PDF, 3 of 4 pages are fine, but on one page, many of the elements (boxes, connectors, etc.) are missing.
Adobe Reader gives me this message on that page: "An error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem."
I also tried to "print to PDF" using a print driver called PDF Creator, and also had problems.
Is there any way to get a clean PDF - other than redrawing the whole diagram, which would be a big chore?
Thanks for any suggestions.

It might be worth checking why the shapes aren't visbile. Look at any layer properties, check these chapes aren't on a non-printing layer.
Also try saving the file in XML format, reload this XML file then try saving to PDF.
Hi Eric,
Visio itself offers convert to PDF command.
In Visio 2013,
Use FILE à Export à Create PDF/XPS Document to convert Visio files in PDF format.
In Visio 2010, there exist Publish as PDF or XPS command.
Move to File à Options à Customize Ribbon. In Choose commands from, select All Commands. Scroll down to “Publish as PDF or XPS”. Add this command to a ribbon tab and convert your drawings to PDF.
Let me know if you have questions or concerns.
I'm using PDF Creator.
I managed to create a PDF successfully by printing each page individually (using PDF Creator).
I'd prefer to create a single multi-page PDF.
But my company has software standards, with restrictions on what individual users can download. So I may have to settle for the individual pages for now.
Thanks for the suggestions.
What tool are you using to generate the PDF?
Try an alternate method of creating the PDF. I have used a freeware tool called "Bullzip PDF Writer" for a number of years. There are many other freeware tools you can get on the internet.
Also try using a different PDF viewer. That may help. I use a tool called PDF XChange Viewer.
