I had same issue with error:2200. I moved all stencils to a new location where the Visio created for you that work well for me.

I am using Visio Professional 2013 trial copy with 40 days left on trial version. I have downloaded Visio templates from many different companies like Legrand Ortronics, Siemon, Cisco, and other Networking equipment companies. I have used the version for several days without any problems. Now when ever I try to insert a shape into a drawing I get this Internal Error #2200. Some shapes will work but most will not.

Thanks for your interest in my problem, however I have given up on Microsoft Visio and do not use it any more.

Hi Jim
Can you share the stencils and templates of the shapes that you are trying to use? We can look into the issue then.

Ayushi
Hi George,
I have tried closing and reopening the file and restarting of Visio and made no difference.
I completely uninstalled the Visio Professional 2013 and re-installed it with the same results, Internal error #2200 with certain shapes from the my shapes folder.
I can go to the MY Shapes folder and click on the shape and it will open in a new Visio page. I have tried the repair in control panel but still doesn't work. The strange thing about this is these shapes worked when I first downloaded Visio Professional 2013 for the first 19 days?
I have downloaded the shapes again and still the same result some shapes work and about half don't work.
If you try closing and reopening the file or restarting Visio. Did it worked?
If the default template worked fine, I suppose that the issue may be caused by the custom templates
conflict.
Please try to open the stencils in Visio’s File Locations dialog > Stencils field path.
If them could not be open and used correctly, I suggest you re-download the template to test.
If they worked fine, please try to repair Visio.
Regards,
George Zhao
