"initialization of the data source failed" when running Excel2013/PowerPivot/DB connection from batch file

I've stumbled with this problem for some time. I have an Excel 2013 workbook that connects MySQL server and updates Power Pivot data model by using a VBA script. The db connection has been created with Power Query addin. It works fine when launched manually but fails when run by a batch script or Task Scheduler and gives the "initialization of the data source failed" error.

I have tried to tweek the DCOM config to set the user as "this user" with appropriate admin credentials but that makes things even worse and gives error that says: "cannot use object linking and embedding". Excel as such works fine when run by a script with VBA and all, but the external data connections seems to be the problem. Event viewer has no errors or warnings concerning this issue, only notifications of office SPP, which seems to unlikely to have anything to do with this.

Does anyone have a clue whats going on and how to resolve this?
