Microsoft Project 2010 Date Range Limit

I am working in Microsoft Project 2010 to simply create a list of events and then display them on a timeline. However, I seem to be limited to only be able to input dates from January 1, 1984 to December 31, 2049. The dates that I need to use all fall before the minimum of this limit. Is there a way that I am able to go around this limit and use any date I want or am I forced to stay within these boundaries?

Your assistance is much appreciated.

Logios --

No, the date limits you describe are hard dates that you cannot change in Microsoft Project 2010.  In Microsoft Project 2013, however, Microsoft has changed the latest possible date to December 31, 2149.  However, there has been no change to the earliest possible date, which is January 1, 1984, as you describe.  Thus, I think you will need to live within these limits.  Hope this helps.
