Hi everyone,

When I am using images on Word 2013 when I change the layout option, the image loses quality, it gets blurred and I cannot put it back as it was. Do you know how to correct this or why it is happening? The images I am inserting are .png

Thanks all

Cheers!

    1. Go To File>Options>Advanced.
    2. Scroll down to "Image Size and Qualtity"

3.1 Check the box for "Do not compress images in file"

3.2 Set the deafault target output to maximum (220 ppi).

Actually I have the same issue - the options are set to not compress. When I paste it inline, it is uncompressed. As soon as I change the layout option, it blurs it. My solution was to insert a text box, paste the image in that, and remove the border on the text box. Then I fill the box with the image - seems to work.

I had this issue as well.  The actual solution is to change the option in Word to not compress images.  However, this will make the document file size large.  It seems to only happen with high quality pictures of large file sizes.  Smaller sized picture

files don't seem to have this issue.

    Hi Girish,

Thanks for your answer, I have tried these solutions, but it seems that's not the problem; specifically what happens is that when I insert the figure it is fixed, then to move it I change it with the option "With text Wrapping" and when I do that, the figure changes the quality I can not look at it with the quality it was before. Properly said, it is not blurred, but is not clear. It is not about the zoom or the ppi quality. If I do this in a new file, this does not happen, but in the file I am using it has some more pictures (all png's). Any clue on this? Please let me know.

Thanks a lot for your time.

    Regards.
