ms access report print problem

I have created a report from 3 linked tables. In the Report view all the fields are populated with information. But in the Print Preview window some of the fields in a column contain no information, whilst others contain the correct detail. This problem affects all of the columns but the blank fields are not necessarily in the same rows. This has to be the daftest situation.

I have tried printing but the result is the same as in the Print Preview - unsurprisingly. I have searched the Net for some time and found that this problem has been highlighted a number of times but no solution can be found. If you know how to sort it out, please, please let me know. Thanks

Is this an issue of some controls being in a group header and/or footer and others being in the detail section?

One of the fields is a lookup, But that field doesn't seem to be affected. Tomorrow I will give the MakeTable  possibility a go and report back. There must be just a small "something" somewhere that would sort the problems easily - if only I could find it !!!

Simplify the query by taking out one table. I understand that won't do any good for the final report but we're just trying to better understand the problem.

Alternatively you can turn your 3-table query into a MakeTable query and base your report on the new table.

Are you using funny data types like lookup or attachment?

Have created the same report from a query. Have used different versions of Access - 2007 and 2010. All with the same result. I have checked the query carefully but don't really understand how to simplify the query. There are 2 fields from each of the 3 tables. So 6 fields only. Do you mean - make a query with say 4 fields?

I don't have a solution, but I would debug this using a technique called "simplify the problem".

    For example:

Have Access wizard create a report on your query. Same problem?

If yes, simplify the query. Same problem?
