Excel Graph Not Graphing Zero Values

I am trying to set up a standard curve for my lab report which consists of different concentrations starting from zero and increasing. Zero is needed in the graph, but my graph seems to be ignoring the zeros in the X and Y sets. For my graph, I have the X values set as concentration and the Y values set as absorbance. I just need the graph to have a "0" concentration and "0" absorbance point, but it won't do that; also different points are in the wrong spot. Lastly, when I put a trend line in, negative values come up, I just thought that was odd, I know how to turn off the negative values, but only MS Excel has done this to me before. I have looked into every option possible to try to get the "0" values recognized, and fix the other values to no avail.

I have been using OpenOffice for the past year to do my charts and this has not happened to me before. Attached is a screen shot, if you need more, I can upload more! But below that is an example I did on another lab showing what I want it to look like!

Here are the first two things to check:

    (1) Be sure to use an XY (Scatter) chart type, not a Line chart type.

    (2) Be sure that the X data and Y data in worksheet cells are both numerical values and that none are actually text values that appear to be numerical.

Looks to me like your first Concentration "value" is actually a lower case letter o rather than a zero. Re-enter it as a 0 & see how it works.

In a quick setup here I get:

Thank you! I just noticed that somehow the first value in my X values was actually an o instead of a zero. Next I went to selected an axis to see what data it was graphing, and it turns out that the X and Y axis were both graphing from the same column...... I have no idea how this happened! So deleted the chart and started fresh with a scatter plot and it worked!

    Thank you!
