Hi. I'm trying to move a group of data (names and numbers) from an excel spreadsheet to a word document in order to print out some labels. Normally I create the spreadsheet (from another program), then copy the cells I want to make labels for. I open a word
doc, start a mail merge, and select the template for the labels I want to print.
If I paste the clipboard to any cell other than the top-left cell, I have the option to "overwrite cells" which fits one name to a cell so I can print one name to a label. Easy and pretty much exactly what I want.
Unless I want to start at the beginning. If I select the top left cell, I cannot use the "overwrite cells" option. It simply does not show up as available. This means I have to start not at the beginning, but use the right half of the page before flipping
the sheet over, which is just weird and makes it harder to print large sets because I have to run each page twice.
Is there a way to find the "overwrite cells" option for the first cell that I'm not looking at? The only thing I can see are the icons below "Print Special" but there are no other places I can find to select different paste options. he options menu doesn't
have anything like this listed that I can find.
