Microsoft Excel 95 2002

Hello everyone.

I have a problem, which should, for the experts, be quite simple! I have a requirement to send files to a gateway which need to be in Microsoft Excel 95 2002 (.xls?) format. I understand there is no support, however, there seems to be a few companies still running this (NT/Windows 95) environment for certain niche applications/requirements. We have purchased and loaded a copy of Windows 95 and Excel which we've done, but it transpires that it is actually Microsoft 97 2003 and not '95 2002. We specifically need to send Microsoft 95, 2002 files. Is there a file conversion option for backwards compatibility for '97 to '95 or  do we need to purchase another copy of '95 and in the event we can not convert, could we re-use the authenticity key code for the copy of '97 2003 we purchased. Is there a link to Microsoft servers that would facilitate a free download of Microsoft Excel 95 2002?

Thanks in anticipation.

Noel

If they downloaded from MS, that's not a publicly available download

Excel 2010 works for me to save as an Excel 5.0/95 workbook

There are no free downloads from MS, excepting current version trials.

    The Key is version specific

All versions of excel have the ability to "Save As" in specific formats, including Excel 5.0/95 workbook

Thank you for your response, but I dont believe it is right !

My computer repair people used the authentication key from the correct CD-ROM, albeit not readable from the disk, but the version they downloaded free "from Microsoft servers", was '97/2003.

"All versions of excel have the ability to "Save As" in specific formats, including Excel 5.0/95 workbook" - I already know this but it doesn't work, I've tried it numerous times.

    Thanks though.
