I am unable to access any of my microsoft programs (word, powerpoint, excel), and it keeps saying "Sorry we ran into a problem" and showing "Error 30089-4". I bought the program a couple months ago online for my laptop and it was working just fine until today. I tried to access it via Programs to possibly uninstall it, but I wouldn't know how to re-install it? It now no longer acts like I have any microsoft products on my computer because it's only letting me open up a previous document in "WordPad only. Help!

Avarinda, I'm having the same problems and none of the solutions offered is solving it.

I had been getting error messages when I tried to open MS files, but didn't pay a lot of attention (I was too busy to muck with it).

Then I turned on my computer and it said it had tried to do automatic updates, but "something went wrong" and I got the error 30033-27, and found the instructions to uninstall.

    The uninstall failed with 30089-4.

Then I found your thread here and tried the repair link you posted right here and found this:

    Windows 7

    1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click Programs and Features.
    2. Click your Microsoft Office program, and then click Change.
    3. Select Online Repair, and then click Repair.

But I got a message that it couldn't make a change while another one was in progress.

This is freaking me out because I have everything on this machine and nothing Microsoft - powerpoint, word, excel - is working!

Thanks in advance for your assistance.
