In attempting to convert a database in Access 97 to Access 2010 I get the messasge "The Microsoft Access database Engine cannot find the input table or queery "MSysAccessObjects".

I'm stuck. Where do I go from here?

You are going to have issues trying to jump straight from 97 to 2010.  If you can find a copy of 2003, it should upgrade to that, then go from 2003 to 2010, not a problem.

I haven't tried this, but you may try starting with a new 2010 database and importing your tables, forms, queries, macros, and modules from the 97 version.
