PowerPoint controls not working.

I have recently been using developer controls a lot, but I found out that they didn't work.

"Object library invalid or contains references to object definitions that could not be found."

I have two questions. I need to know how it happened, and how I can reverse it to make the controls usable.

Thanks,

Did you just notice that they suddenly don't work?  A recent update seems to have caused problems with ActiveX controls.

Have a look here for starters:

Also:

Shut down PPT and any other Office apps

Visit your TEMP folder

Search for any *.exd files in the temp folder and subfolders; delete them.

Restart Windows and try using the controls again.
