Resource Sheet with "Resources - Work" Filter applied does not show the correct amount of work as assigned in the tasks

I am attempting to apply the filter, "Resources - Work" on a report and on my resource sheet. When I do so, it is showing "incorrect" values for the work field. In the first image, I show the assignments and associated work on my gantt chart - I have highlighted the amount of work. In the second image, you'll see how much "Work" is reported from the resource sheet(which should be a summary), in this case "0" hours.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the delay in replying.

thanks for the information that you are working with a resource pool.  When you see the issue in the Resource Sheet view, are you:

    • Working in the Resource Sheet view in the pool file OR
    • Working with the Resource Sheet view in a sharer file?
    • If you are working with the sharer file, do  you have the pool file open?

How log as the resource pool file been in use?  It may be time to re-build the pool.  Have you "audited" the pool lately to ensure that all connected files are accurate?

    • I am using a shared resource pool
    • Project 2013 Professional
    • Service Pack 1 has been applied
    • No project Server
    • Yes - the hours show as expected
    • I am definitely willing to share this file via email.

I am new to the community, and quickly looked to see where I can email you, but cannot find it. Can you give me guidance on contacting you?

This is truly odd.  A couple of extra questions:

Are you using a shared resource pool or are the resources in the same project file?

    What version of Project?

    What service packs are applied?

    Are  you using Project Server?

If you create a new file with one resource and two tasks, and assignments - do the work hours show as expected?

Is this a file you can share via email?

Hi Julie, thanks for the reply!

The correct hours DON'T show up in the resource sheet if I don't apply a filter. However, if I go to my Resource Usage view, all the times show up correctly.

I increased the height of the header row to include the full text. Work is "Work", not Work variance.

Do the correct hours appear in the Resource Sheet view if you don't apply a filter?  Any change the "work" field you see in the view isn't the work field but perhaps Work Variance?  Increase the height of the header row - the "Material" field you show is actually Material Label.
