one note inserted PDFs highlighting feature?

I was glad to see that onenote for mac remedied the HUGE mistake of not being able to import PDFs-- glad that was fixed up, but I can't highlight or write within the inserted PDF like I could in the PC version-- I can only insert it- and write off to the side. Students need to be able to highlight within or on top of an inserted document just like the PC version. Onenote for mac is still lacking some basic features that make it useable for students. Not worth my time waiting around for you guys to get it together with programs like evernote and growlynotes that make it easier to take notes on inserted documents. Is this feature going to be added soon? or should i start another school year with a different program?

Is this feature going to be added soon?

It may if it gets enough votes here:

Highlight and edit PDFs/PPts that are added to Onenote! (Mac)

...You get 10 votes to distribute as you please, and if MS fulfills a suggestion you voted for, you’ll get those votes back. [Source: Microsoft]

Yes, PLEASE add this feature as soon as possible.  It's a necessity for practicing law!

"inking" may also make it possible to search and display highlighted text in a document.

OneNote 2013 for windows isn't exactly capable of highlighting text or objects in PDF files either. You can just DRAW everywhere on the page (even with a highlighter "pen" and on top of a picture or PDF) which creates a graphics object on its own. Move the PDF and the "highlight" won't move along, thus highlighting the wrong portion of the PDF. Best way to work around this is to declare the PDF and graphical marker as page background (OneNote 2013 only)

So this type of highlighting will come to Mac or iOS versions as soon as they implement inking in general (hope they will do eventually).
