Improved SQL editor for Access--what happened?

Last September, Microsoft said "The Access team is adjusting our status for this request – we are planning to embed the Monaco Editor (support for SQL Editor improvements) into Access, to be released within the next semester (first half of 2021), which will provide capabilities such as syntax highlighting, IntelliSense, SQL comments, and more."

Anybody heard any more about this?!?

Sad. I use Access daily. I have several dozen personal ongoing Access database projects.

I wish Microsoft would decide whether they want to keep supporting and investing in Access or just quit jerking us around and announce it is abandonware.

Maybe they couldn't figure out how to get rid of all the extra ((((())))) they insist on larding Access SQL up with?

The Access roadmap ETAs are pretty much useless.

They are working on it, amongst other things, but as to when we will actually see it available for consumption is anyone's guess!

Thanks. I'd figured this was the best-case answer. I guess we should be grateful for any attention they show Access...
