Excel doesn't open up spreadsheet exception code C0000374

Running Windows 7 Enterprise with Office 2013 on Dell Latitude laptop: Excel hangs up when trying to open spreadsheets and give us an exception code C0000374.  We end up having to reboot the PC and log back onto the PC again.  This happens sporadically so I don't if a repair is needed or reinstall of Office 2013 or if some add-ons need to be disabled.  Please advise.

    I did a repair and it seems to be okay for the last week.  It had the latest updates (Windows 7 and Office 2013) so that wasn't the issue.
