document doesn't automatically scroll down as I type

As I am typing, the cursor disappears below the bottom of the screen.  I have to manually scroll down.  Is there a setting I don't know about that would stop this?

I'm sorry, but apparently from all the answers, my Word is working just like it's supposed to.  It types down to the bottom of the "paper" and doesn't automatically scroll down.  For transcriptionists, this is ****.  However one of my fellow transcriptionists came up with a work-around that is helping.  You split the window and hide the ruler and type on the top one.  MUCH better.  MS should make this a choice.

I DID reply.  I got an answer from a fellow transcriptionist on another site.  The answer I got here was basically "too bad, that's the way it is.  Why do you want that anyway".  My fellow transcriptionists or anyone who types a lot knows why - so pfft.  It would be nice if you made that a choice as I said in my FIRST reply.  Please don't tell me to reply again and definitely don't ask me to rate the response and these pages.  You woudn't like my rating.
