version 15.19.1 (160212)

Truly is there no way to view multiple sheets simultaneously? ( and without creating a dummy or second workbook)

I came BACK to Office and now this sort of stumbling block makes me think that was a mistake................

Anyone who spent more than the hour I have searching, reading and getting nowhere I TYIA even if it is just to confirm.

The method is the same as in prior versions. It doesn't involve creating a 2nd workbook, but it does require creating a 2nd [and 3rd, 4th, etc.] window in which to view a different sheet. Any work done in either window is saved to the same workbook file.

  1. Start with Window> New Window
  2. Use Window> Arrange or arrange the windows manually if you prefer. (If you have more than one workbook file open be sure to check the Windows of Active Workbook box.)
  3. The title bar of each window will display FileName:1, FileName:2, etc.
  4. In each window, select the sheet you want to view. Any changes you make will be displayed if you switch to the same area in another window.

Bob - thank you so much for your patience in answering this.  I am embarrassed to say I could not follow those instructions last night - missed the 'New Window' under the Window tab.  I kept looking for a new sheet under the View  tab in the workbook.............

You cannot use Arrange unless you open the workbook in multiple windows by doing as stated in step #1 of my earlier reply.

Hello there, the problem is that my "Arrange" option is grayed out and so I can't even click it. Does this mean I have to arrange the spreadsheets manually every time? Please help.
