OneDrive flags error on saving

When I save a file to my PC's OneDrive folder (all files available offline) I get an error flag suggesting the server copy is different to the PC copy. It isn't but I can only resolve it by re-opening the file and selecting the server version. This has arisen since I upgraded from Office 2013 to 2016 and certainly manifests itself in Excel 2016. Is this a new bug?

I think it also suggests the file is open for another user. It isn't.

"we're sorry, someone updated the server copy and it's not possible to upload your changes now." even for every old files that I haven't touched for years. You're then asked to "keep my version" or "keep server version". They both appear to be the same. The error message, I think, is generated by OneDrive.

It happens in all Office 2016 applications.

It's the same issue 光锐杨 has reported.

    Hello Chris,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community.

To resolve this issue we need more information. Let us know the following:

    1. What is the exact error message you receive while trying to save a file to your PC’s OneDrive folder?
    2. Do you experience the same issue in any other Office 2016 application like Word or PowerPoint?

Check the above and let us know.

    Thank you.
