vba code for display a “Current Slide Layout Name” and “Current Slide Used Font” in powerpoint status bar

Need VBA Code

I Want to display two information in powerpoint 2013 "STATUS BAR" (Bottom of the screen)

Current Slide Layout Name

  • view-> Slide Master and Move your Mouse cursor to get "current slide layout information
  • eg: Title and Content Layout: Used by silde(s) 1-3

What are the "Font" and "Font Size" used in Current Slide

  • File -> Info -> Properties -> Advanced Properties -> Content Tab (under Font used)
  • Note: It will show what are the font used in "current document"

but i need what are the font used in "current slide" and What are the Font Size used in Current Slide

  • Eg:[Arial,Calibri,Times New Roman],[20,16,14,10]

    PowerPoint doesn't provide any access to the Status Bar.

    You might be able to provide the same functionality via a couple of controls on the Ribbon.

    You'd need to install an event handler to trap selection changes, work out what slide you're on and whether it's changed (ie, does the ribbon need to be updated) then invalidate your ribbon controls so PPT re-creates them (with a callback into your add-in code to provide the needed font/layout information).

    Personally, I'd find all that screen jiggly annoying; users might prefer to be able to click a button when they WANT that information rather than having it thrust in their faces all the time.  And that would be FAR simpler to implement.
