I need the Data Analysis Plus add-in to work. I need the Z - estimate mean to show up. I have added it from the options side, under the file tab.  The Data Analysis tool pack shows/ or rather the only z option there is is the z-test sample for two means.

When I click on the add-ins tab at the top of my excel spreadsheet, it is blank all the way across.  There is nothing there.

How do I get the Z estimate mean to show up?

An internet search with <data analysis plus> show me that this is a third-party product - not something from Microsoft.

It appears to be an educational tools and perhaps is included in stats textbooks.

Check if it comes with the textbook or if the textbook tells you where to download it.

Is the prof any help? What about class-mates?

What is the name/author of the textbook?

This link talks about how to install it once it is downloaded:

Doing the same search may let you find a download site

best wishes

Thank you Bernard for your reply, unfortunately, this didn't help.

My textbook says: <Data Analysis Plus> <Z-Estimate Mean>.  When I run the query, the internal search, it comes back with "Sorry, there are no matches for your search"

Under the add-ins tab I need Data Analysis Plus and the only options available are <Data Analysis Tool pack>and <Data Analysis Tool pack - VBA>

I am running windows 8.1, office 365 and I am assuming that <Data Analysis plus > add-in came with the previous versions.

How can I reconfigure my office to accommodate this add-in?

"The Data Analysis tool pack shows/ or rather the only z option there is is the z-test sample for two means."

That is the only z-test within the Data Analysis tools.

"When I click on the add-ins tab at the top of my excel spreadsheet, it is blank all the way across.  There is nothing there. " The Add-In tab is there only for third-party addins.

If you do an internet search with <excel z score> you will gets lots of help on how to perform this in Excel without a 'canned' tool

You could come back with sample data and tell us in words what you would like to compute.

    best wishes
