Erratic behaviour and automatic jumping between slides when designing in Powerpoint.

Hi guys,

I am having a real problem with the new version of Powerpoint. When I am designing, particularly within the Master Slide, Powerpoint automatically jumps ahead a page with no prompting at all. Often this happens when clicking between text boxes or simply dragging an image.

Currently I am using a Wacom tablet but there area also issues with the Apple Magic Mouse (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2331836?start=0&tstart=0).

Its seems as though Powerpoint may perhaps class some of the movements/ motions which I create as gestures and move to the next page which isn't correct. This is a similarity that a magic mouse and Wacom tablet would have in common.

I spend at least 20 hours a week creating professional presentations and this is slowing down my workflow considerably.

It would be interesting to see if anybody else has this issue as well as replicating it is hard to do.

This problem occurs on both of my computers. These run OSX Yoesemite and also OSX El Capitan.

Thank you,

Tom

n.b. Microsoft - There does not seem to be a drop down option for OSX within the "System and device" within this form which is pretty important. Our agency uses Office 365 and there are a huge amount of bugs in many of the 365 programs.

There is a separate Office for Mac category, here's a link: PowerPoint for Mac

Others have posted about Wacom tablets that jump slides. I have a Wacom, and found I was able to calm it down by opening System Preferences>Wacom Tablet. I selected the Grip Pen and changed Tip Double Click Distance to Off. Your mileage may vary.
