Outline level

HI, I have a Word 2010 outline format question. I need to remove a level on an outline with everything that follows being brought up to the next level.  I just need to delete a level and have the rest of the outline formatted to reflect that change.  Simply deleting the entry does accomplish what I need, nor does changing the indent.  I know this has to fairly simple.  Thanks for considering my question.

Have you set up numbering using paragraph styles (one for each numbering level)? In that case, you can use Find and Replace. If styles have not been used, it may not be possible to this in a simple way.

It is a multi level list.

In the below example I need to remove level a. and replace it with level i. and then have the rest of the outline reflect the proper levels based on that change.  Thanks for taking the time to help me figure this out.

Is this a numbered multilevel list or are you referring to an outline built with heading styles?
