Batch Find and Replace

One feature of Word 2008 that Microsoft seems to have removed in all versions since, including Office 2016, is the ability to execute Find and Replace on multiple open documents. This is a critical feature for me. Any idea why this feature has been removed and if there are any options out there? I know there are batch text find and replace programs but they don't work on Word documents.

I guess they cut the feature to save money.

Use the Smiley Face at the top right corner to ask them to put it back!  The more requests they get, the more likely they are to do it.

I hear you. Given MS's penchant for adding and removing features from different versions of Word, I've adopted a work environment where I install new software, but don't uninstall the old version. It's so handy when you discover that something you rely on has been removed, just open the old version and get done what you need to. Multiple versions of Office co-exist quite nicely on Macs.

There are macro solutions for this issue, but unfortunately, VBA in 2016 for Mac is mostly brain-dead, so that doesn't help you.
