I make cemetery books. I use to use publisher but that doesn't index for me. My pages looks like a table 10 to a page they hold pictures of stones and the info. My question is how do I get it to word where it can be edited and also get it to index. I just want to hit a button on my form for it to do this. It also needs page numbers. Can anyone help me.

I also want to send a table to excel that will only have Section Number and lot number on it. Can i do this.

one last question is how do I get Access to look like a software on my desktop.

Please help me

I am making a book of stones like on the grid. There is a picture in one square and text in the other all through out. There is 16 pictures to a page. I need to index the last name first name and page number. This is a large book there is over 10,000 stone pictures. I have these broken down into sections of the cemetery starting with section A. I am using a grid like i sent you this is what is do in publisher. But the only way i know how to index it is go page by page and start typing. This grid can be done in either word or publisher. I just found publisher easy to work with this type. But I couldn't get it into access either. Someone made some software and it was done using access but I can't find all my answers. Thanks for helping me out.

OK, lets take a step back here. What is it you are trying to accomplish here? Are you trying to distribute a book of stones or a searchable database of stones? What do you need an index for? In your book will there be a specific number of pictures per page or could it vary? Are you planning on a grid like you are showing or 1 stone per page?

Thanks Scott. I want to just be able to click and open it like any other software so when I create my master database for other people to use they won't be able to edit

anything but the info they put on the form. Does this make sense

If you are doing a mail merge into Word, you would link your Word Data Doc to an Access query.

Look into TransferSpreadsheet to export to Excel.

I'm not sure what you mean by getting Access "to look like a software on my desktop."
