Hi,
if yours table is a linked table you attempt to open a second file on linked-table path.
Check for the linked-table path.

I have been viewing/editing my .accdb file in Windows 7, but the hard drive on my laptop died so I have been trying to view it on my old XP desktop. I can open the file in Access but when I try to view the table I get an error message that 'the path is not valid. Make sure the that the path name is spelled correctly & that you are connected to the server on which the file resides.'

C:\Users\Ashik\Documents\WindowBiz\ is the path, not that that is going to tell you anything since, as you say, you can't see my computer. I am simply trying to edit the file in Access. It is a simple form & table. The file opens in Access when I click on it, but I get the error when I try to open the table to edit it.
You can see your computer - we cannot! What IS the path to your XP file? What path is your program trying to open? If it's a linked table, have you moved both the frontend and the backend?
