Deleted text reinserting itself (Android)

This is the second time I've had to type this so I'll  try for a more streamlined version.

I'm having a problem with deleting multiple words at a time, in OneNote. Whenever I try to the first word that gets deleted goes off without a hitch, but if I try to carry on deleting the next word, without manually reseting the cursor, the cursor resets to where it was was when I first started typing and the word I just deleted reinserts where the cursor reset to. Manually resting the cursor seems to fix this problem temporarily, but if I try to delete more than one word at a time (without highlighting the entire section I wish to delete) the problem persists. So my question is three-fold; is this a bug or an intended feature, if it is a bug how do I fix it, and if it is an intended feature is there a way to turn this feaure off and if so how? I will also mention that, I do have the latest version of OneNote installed, so I know that it isn't because I'm using an outdated version.

Hi Ray,

I was having the same issue with my Samsung Galaxy Note 5. I had installed Google Keyboard and was using that with OneNote (instead of the default Samsung Keyboard). When I switched my keyboard back to the default Samsung Keyboard the text would delete correctly. If you aren't on a Samsung device perhaps try installing a different keyboard than the Google Keyboard (eg. Swift, Fleksy etc).

I hope that helps!

Aha! Thank you very much kind sir, I'd given up hope on fixing this, even going so far as to delete Onenote. I was using the native LG keyboard and switching to Fleksy fixed it entirely. I wish that your enemies become lost and confused on the way to your house.

The version of OneNote I'm using is 15.1.6821.4825 and, as far as the google playstore is telling me, it does seem to be up to date as is my device.

Sadly, the suggestions you've given me don't seem to have resolved the problem.
