I cannot open office without receiving error 1058-4. I've checked the forums an the easy fix link doesn't work and i cannot uninstall without receiving the same message. I need office for school and do not know how to fix or uninstall the problem. Anyone know how to fix?

I have seen one other person reporting this error code. But no specific fix for it yet.

Can you please give us the FULL and EXACT error message text, or a screen capture of the message.

Since there are no known specific fixes yet all I can suggest are the generic fixes.

Which applications are you having this problem with? There is no "office" application to open. If it is Word or Excel, then I can provide you with a specific long trouble shooting process for either application that may help.

If Word or Excel is the only problem app, try starting it in Safe mode
Start Windows in Safe Mode
Do an Office Repair
Do an Uninstall from the control panel and re-install
Do an uninstall using the Fix it and re-install
