Same username, different domains

We've an Office 365 account with two domains, domain1.com and domain2.com. What we need are two separate mailboxes, *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. Both must be able to send and receive mail. Is this possible and when the answer is yes, how do we do that?

TIA

hi remcomoedt,

to be short, the answer is yes.

the detailed steps are as follows:

  1. verify your custom domain 1 and custom domain 2 in office 365 separately. for your reference:

add your users and domain to office 365

  1. create new users *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and assign licenses to them.

add users individually to office 365 - admin help

note: when creating new users, you need to select different domains for them in the drop-down list.

we are always here to help.

best regards,

sam
