Changing the default comment

Hi everyone,

I am using Microsoft office for Mac and I think it's the 2016 version. I am trying to change the comment box from the default "Microsoft Office User:" to my own for all of the comments when I insert a new comment. Is there a way to change the settings to allow me to do that?

Thanks

Sumit

Go to Excel> Preferences> General, change the User Name, then restart the program.

I don't want to change the name. I want to not have Name: appear in the comment by default. I tried setting the name to blank, but that won't be saved in the preferences. This is a glaring product oversight that every comment starts with a default template and there's no way to change that template. This needs to be fixed now.

Try putting a single space into the Name field in preferences.
